Actor- Director Aatish Kapadia and Wife Alison Kapadia Purchase Rs. 15.31 Crore Apartment in Mumbai’s Goregaon West
Indian actor, director, and screenplay writer Aatish Kapadia, along with his wife Alison Kapadia, has bought a high-value residential property in Mumbai. According to official records accessed via the website of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, and reviewed by real estate platform Square Yards, the couple has acquired an apartment in the western suburb of Goregaon for Rs. 15.31 crore. The registration of the transaction took place in June 2025.
The apartment is part of the "Elysian" project by Oberoi Realty. As per the details available from the registered documents, the apartment has a RERA carpet area of approximately 281.50 square metres, equivalent to about 3,030 square feet. In addition to the apartment unit, the transaction includes rights to three car parking spaces.
The transaction attracted a stamp duty payment of Rs. 91.86 lakh and registration charges amounting to Rs. 30,000, in line with current real estate registration norms in Mumbai.
The residential project "Elysian" is located in Goregaon West, a zone that has seen considerable residential and commercial growth over the last few years. The project is developed by Oberoi Realty, a listed developer with multiple ongoing and completed projects across Mumbai. Elysian falls within the larger Oberoi Garden City development and offers proximity to retail centres, schools, hospitals, and public transit points.
Goregaon West is situated along key transportation corridors such as the Western Express Highway and SV Road. The suburb also benefits from the Goregaon Railway Station on the Western Line of Mumbai’s suburban network. These transport nodes offer connectivity to business areas including Andheri, Malad, and the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The upcoming Goregaon-Mulund Link Road is also expected to improve intra-city travel and east-west mobility for commuters residing in the western suburbs.
The location is home to a mix of industries, including media, production, and corporate offices, and houses several television studios and production houses, making it a preferred location for those involved in the entertainment sector. Residential demand in the area has also been supported by the presence of commercial hubs and proximity to social amenities such as Inorbit Mall and Infiniti Mall.
According to Square Yards’ Data Intelligence division, Elysian by Oberoi Realty recorded 116 sale registrations between April 2024 and March 2025. The total transaction value from these registrations amounted to Rs. 1,035 crore. The average property rate at Elysian has been recorded at Rs. 50,869 per sq. ft. during this period.
Aatish Kapadia is known primarily for his work in Hindi television and films. He is well known for writing and creating popular TV shows like Wagle Ki Duniya (2021–2025), Happy Family Conditions Apply (2023), Khichdi (2002–2018), and Pushpa Impossible (2022–2025). He co-founded the production company Hats Off Productions, which has produced many popular TV serials like Khichdi, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, and Wagle Ki Duniya.
The purchase by Aatish and Alison Kapadia adds to the list of high-value transactions being registered in the Mumbai real estate market, which continues to see traction in both primary and secondary markets across key micro-markets such as Goregaon, Andheri, Bandra, and Lower Parel.
