Vicky Kaushal Renews Lease for Apartment in Juhu at ₹6.2 Crore for Three Years
Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has renewed the lease for his apartment in Mumbai’s Juhu for a period of three years, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The new agreement, signed in April 2025, outlines a monthly rent of ₹17.01 lakh for the first and second years, increasing to ₹17.86 lakh in the third year. Over the full lease term, the total rent will amount to ₹6.2 crore.
The apartment is located in Raj Mahal, a ready-to-move residential building in Juhu, which is among Mumbai’s more prominent localities. The property has a carpet area of 258.48 square metres (approximately 2,781.83 square feet). The lease renewal transaction includes a security deposit of ₹1.75 crore. Additional costs paid at the time of registration include ₹1.69 lakh in stamp duty and ₹1,000 as registration fees. The lease also offers the tenant exclusive access to three parking spaces.
This new agreement follows Kaushal’s previous lease signed in July 2021, which had a tenure of five years. At that time, the rent began at ₹8 lakh per month. The current renewal comes amid the continued success of the actor’s professional career. His latest film, Chhaava, recently crossed the ₹600-crore mark at the box office.
Vicky Kaushal has steadily developed his career in the Hindi film industry since his debut, featuring in a series of critically recognised films. His performances in Masaan, Raazi, Sanju, Uri: The Surgical Strike, and Sardar Udham have earned him both audience appreciation and industry recognition. He received the National Film Award for Best Actor for his work in Uri: The Surgical Strike and continues to maintain a steady presence in mainstream cinema.
The Juhu neighbourhood, where the property is located, is a preferred residential zone for a number of actors and film professionals. Its proximity to production houses in Andheri and Bandra, along with the presence of Mumbai’s well-connected transport infrastructure, has contributed to its popularity. The area is also known for its access to the Juhu beach, healthcare centres, and educational institutions. According to property registration records reviewed by Square Yards, other Bollywood personalities such as Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, and Shakti Kapoor also reside in the locality.
While representatives of Vicky Kaushal have not issued any comment on the lease renewal, the transaction appears consistent with trends seen among public figures in Mumbai’s high-value rental market. Over the past few years, several celebrities have opted to lease properties instead of purchasing them outright, allowing flexibility as personal and professional commitments evolve.
The lease is one among several high-profile real estate transactions involving Bollywood actors in recent months. The Mumbai property market, particularly in the Juhu, Bandra, and Andheri West areas, continues to see rental and ownership deals involving leading names from the film industry. These transactions often reflect long-term planning, convenience, and the requirement for secure and spacious accommodation near the city’s business and creative hubs.
