Nike is planning a new corporate campus in Bengaluru by FY28 as the sportswear company expands its operations in India. The campus will support work across Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse, and full-time employees based in India are set to migrate to the new site in phases.
The company has yet to disclose the location of the campus and is expected to announce the location in 2027. The move comes as Nike seeks to boost its presence in India, a key growth market and manufacturing hub for the sportswear giant.
Nike to set up Bengaluru campus by FY28
The new Bengaluru campus is part of Nike's wider changes to its operating model. The company is reorganising its global operations while putting greater focus on local markets, supply chain capabilities and product innovation.
Employees already working in India will move to the new campus in phases from FY28. Nike has said the facility will support work across its three brands and help build capabilities and talent in the country.
The campus is being planned as a long-term rather than a short-term project, but the details such as site, size of campus, amount of investment and employee capacity have not been disclosed.
India campus to support Nike, Jordan and Converse
The Bengaluru campus is expected to support Nike's business in India as well as its wider global operations. Nike considers India an important market, with manufacturing capabilities and access to a strong talent pool.
Nike anticipates that the campus will play a role in helping them take advantage of commercial opportunities as well as support manufacturing growth and new capabilities. The company also sees the value of a stronger local presence to be able to work more closely with athletes and consumers in India.
The decision coincides with Nike's broader operating changes which include reorganising its business into three geographic regions. Asia Pacific and Greater China will be brought together under a single region, with its leadership team based in Singapore.
Bengaluru remains a major office market
Nike's move is happening at a time when Bengaluru remains a big player in terms of office leases in India. It made a contribution of 24.7 percent to the gross office leasing of the country in the first six months of 2026 and remained the biggest contributor amongst Indian office markets.
The country witnessed office leasing of 37.9 million sq ft with global organizations contributing 55.2 percent to the total figure. Bengaluru has also made a contribution of 4.1 million sq ft office leasing in the second quarter, but it was a quarter on quarter fall in the activity levels.
The city continues to attract firms that require access to technology and business talent. This has supported demand for office space across established commercial areas as well as emerging business districts.
Nike campus adds to Bengaluru's corporate expansion
The planned campus gives Nike a larger long-term presence in Bengaluru and adds another global company to the city's corporate office ecosystem. The move also comes as international companies continue to maintain a significant presence in India's office market.
For Bengaluru's commercial real-estate sector, the announcement is relevant because the city continues to attract companies looking to establish or expand their long-term operations. However, the direct property-market impact of Nike's campus cannot yet be assessed, as the company has not announced the location or size of the facility.
More details are expected when Nike announces the campus location in 2027. Until then, the Bengaluru campus represents the company's planned investment in its India operations, with employee relocation and the expansion of capabilities expected to take place over the coming years.
