Brigade Hotel Ventures Signs Multi-Deal Agreement with Marriott International to Open Six Hotels in India

Brigade Hotel Ventures partners with Marriott International to develop six hotels across India, adding 940 rooms under five Marriott brands. The projects target Chennai, Bengaluru, Kerala, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Brigade Hotel Ventures has signed multi-deal agreement with Marriott International to develop six hotels across four key Indian markets. The agreement will add 940 rooms to Brigade’s portfolio, expanding its presence in the country’s hospitality sector.

The six hotels will operate under five Marriott Bonvoy brands: The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott. This deal strengthens Brigade’s existing partnership with Marriott, which includes Sheraton Grand Bangalore at Brigade Gateway and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Infopark. Combined with the new projects, Brigade will operate 1,388 rooms in collaboration with Marriott.

The agreement was signed by Brigade Hotel Ventures Managing Director Nirupa Shankar and Rajeev Menon, President – Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International.

Planned Hotels 

Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center: Scheduled to open in FY27, the hotel will include 45 rooms and two dining outlets. It will feature a fitness centre and provide services aligned with Marriott’s operational standards. The property is located around 13 km from Chennai International Airport.

Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport: Expected by FY28, this hotel will comprise 224 rooms, including suites. Plans include conference and banqueting spaces, two dining venues, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa.

Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Brigade Valencia: Also set to open in FY28, this property will have 151 rooms. Amenities will include a three-meal restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa, serving both business and leisure travelers.

The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, Kerala: Scheduled for FY29, this 70-key all-villa resort will focus on wellness and events. Facilities will include five dining venues, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa. The property is approximately a two-hour drive from Kochi Airport.

JW Marriott Chennai OMR: Expected to open in FY30, this hotel will feature 250 rooms and suites. Facilities will include multiple wellness spaces, a spa, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a JW Garden. Meeting and event venues will offer 1,400 square meters of space. Located on Chennai’s IT corridor, it is about 45 minutes from the airport.

Thiruvananthapuram Marriott Hotel World Trade Center: Also slated for FY30, the hotel will comprise 200 rooms, five dining venues, a fitness centre, a spa, and an outdoor pool. It will form part of a mixed-use development including the World Trade Center, located 20 minutes from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

Brigade Enterprises Executive Chairman MR Jaishankar said the six new hotels demonstrate confidence in the long-term potential of India’s hospitality sector. He highlighted the focus on delivering high-quality services in partnership with Marriott.

Rajeev Menon, President – Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, said the agreement supports Marriott’s growth strategy to expand in locations with rising demand for business and leisure travel.

Rajeev Menon, President – Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, added that the agreement aligns with Marriott’s growth strategy, focusing on locations where business and leisure travel demand is rising.

Brigade Hotel Ventures reported a net profit of ₹7 crore for Q1 FY26, compared to a net loss of ₹5.78 crore in the same period last year, with revenue from operations increasing 22 percent year-on-year to ₹124 crore. The new developments form part of Brigade’s broader expansion plan, aiming to meet growing demand in India’s hospitality sector and deliver consistent service experiences for both business and leisure travelers.

The new hotel projects reflect Brigade’s expansion strategy and aim to meet increasing demand in the Indian hospitality market. By leveraging Marriott’s brand standards, the company seeks to offer reliable service experiences for both business and leisure travelers across multiple cities.
