The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has recorded significant interest in its recently launched housing schemes, Atal Nagar and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Projects, with over 5,600 visitors accessing the online portal within the first three days. According to LDA officials, 2,346 booklets were sold, and 117 individuals completed the registration process, indicating robust demand in the city’s affordable housing segment.
Online registrations for both schemes remain open from October 4 to November 3, 2025. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme, located in Dalibagh, Hazratganj, is developed on 2,314 sq meters of land reclaimed from illegal occupation. The project comprises 72 flats spread across three ground-plus-three structures, each measuring 36.65 sq meters, priced at ₹10.70 lakh per unit. Within three days, 1,703 booklets were purchased and 58 individuals registered for the scheme, reflecting concentrated interest in central Lucknow.
Meanwhile, the Atal Nagar Housing Scheme in Devpur Para features a larger footprint, with 2,496 flats across 15 towers ranging from 12 to 19 stories. The development includes 1,832 one-bedroom units and 664 two-bedroom units, ranging from 30 sq meters to 54.95 sq meters. Prices start from ₹9.82 lakh per flat. Within the same three-day period, 3,078 visitors accessed the project’s online portal, 643 booklets were sold, and 59 registrations were completed.
LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar highlighted the strategic planning behind both schemes. He noted that the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Project maximizes reclaimed urban land to deliver affordable housing near Hazratganj, a prime central location. The Atal Nagar Housing Scheme, by contrast, targets high-density residential demand in peripheral zones while offering vertical living options across mid-rise to high-rise towers.
Experts note that the LDA’s focus on affordable housing aligns with broader urban development policies aimed at increasing homeownership among middle- and lower-income groups. Both projects are expected to contribute to decongesting informal settlements and improving the city’s residential planning framework.
The schemes’ pricing and unit configurations are designed to attract first-time buyers, small families, and working professionals seeking budget-friendly options within the city. With limited availability and strong early interest, the LDA is likely to see a high conversion rate from booklet sales to final registrations.
