The New Consolidated Construction Company Ltd (NCCCL) has received an order valued at ₹112.5 crore from Lodha Developers Ltd to undertake construction activities, and it has added another feather to the fast-growing order book of the company. This would further consolidate the long-standing association of the company with one of India's leading real estate developers.

In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges and an official statement, NCCCL said that it has received a LoA for the development of Tower 1 along with associated non-tower ancillary structures at a residential development project at Alibaug near Mumbai. The contract was obtained through a competitive bidding process, demonstrating NCCCL's execution capabilities and competitive positioning in the construction sector.

The company said the project involves a built-up area of 7.26 lakh square feet. The value of the contract is estimated to be ₹112.5 crore, plus GST. Construction at Alibaug is likely to start around middle of January 2026 and is likely to be completed in almost 24 months.

While expanding its footprint in premium residential destinations beyond the core urban areas of Mumbai, the Alibaug project has been part of Lodha Developers' broader strategy. Alibaug has emerged as a preferred second-home and luxury residential market and has seen increasing developer interest with improvement in connectivity, lifestyle demand, and proximity to Mumbai.

This project is NCCCL’s third major project with the Lodha Group. Prior to this, the company has successfully completed a major residential project at Palava, which entailed around 13 lakh square feet of construction work in 11 towers. Besides, it has completed another commercial project for the company at Thane. The repeat order from the company testifies to their trust in the construction capabilities of NCCCL.

Founded in the year 1946, the Mumbai-headquartered NCCCL is an established engineering and construction firm, having years of experience in the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional space. The firm over the years has earned a reputation for undertaking and completing difficult jobs in the dense urban space, as well as the emerging growth corridors.

The awarding of new contracts reflects construction works, especially in the residential property market, as the sector has experienced strong demand. Developers are also increasingly focusing on execution guarantees, cooperating with contractors who have execution experience, particularly in the wake of increased scrutiny relating to matters such as cost-effectiveness, timelines, and compliance.

NCCCL, a company that specializes in creating infrastructure for buildings, is expected to get a boost from a recent contractual agreement that will ensure a steady income stream for a period of two years and solidify its position within highly developing markets for real estate in Maharashtra. The company is also looking for opportunities in developing residential and mixed-use properties, as developers press ahead with launches despite a positive shift in consumer sentiment.

With several development projects on hand and an encouraging order book, NCCCL is poised to reap the benefits that are evident in the Indian real estate and construction sector.
