Comedian Bharti Singh has sold her apartment in the Kalpataru Regalia, Goregaon area of Mumbai for ₹3.75 crore according to property registration documents obtained by CRE Matrix. The sold apartment was purchased in 2016, by Bharti. The property includes 1,186 sq ft flat with a carpet area . The cost for it was ₹2.64 crore, thus making a profit of around ₹1.10 crore - a 41% return over 9 years.
Dhnya Ramakrishna bought the seventh-floor apartment of Kalpataru Regalia in Goregaon West. According to the official documents, the new owner has paid more than ₹22 lakh as stamp duty and ₹30,000 as registration fee. It is mentioned in the documents that two car-parking slots were included in the sale transaction.
Her sale is in line with a recent slew of expensive real estate deals of celebrities from the Hindi film industry, most of whom have been reorganizing their property portfolios in the luxurious and up-and-coming micro-markets of Mumbai.
Bharti Singh is credited as one of the top comedians in India, and her characteristic sarcasm, her skills of expression, and her continuous presence both on TV and in the live performance circuits have raised her to prominence. Her national fame was largely due to The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in which she gained the hearts of the audience with her popular character ‘Lalli’. In the last few years, she has expanded her brand into comedy, hosting, and reality TV, and she is now one of the most recognisable faces in Indian entertainment.
It is not only Singh who has been in the news due to real estate activity this year. The likes of the actors Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar, to name a few, have made major property transactions in the recent past.
On November 21, 2025, Preity Zinta did a deal to sell her apartment in Bandra, Mumbai for ₹14.08 crore, as per the documents accessed by CRE Matrix. In October 2023, she bought the unit from the Keystone Realtors (Rustomjee Group) for ₹17.01 crore. The selling price is lower, but the transaction shows the reshuffling of the industry professionals who are looking for liquidity or portfolio balance due to changing market conditions.
At the start of the month, Amitabh Bachchan has offloaded two neighboring posh apartments in the Goregaon area of Mumbai for ₹12 crore, as per the property records obtained from CRE Matrix. The megastar, therefore, had purchased the units in 2012 for ₹8.12 crore, thus making a return of almost 47% in 13 years. Besides that, the actor in January 2025 has sold his Andheri duplex for ₹83 crore according to the documents inspected by SquareYards. The house is 5,185 sq ft of RERA carpet area in a luxurious tower called The Atlantis.
Such a large number of high-value transactions of the residential market in Mumbai signal that the market is still very much alive and going particularly well in micro-markets like Andheri, Bandra, Goregaon, and Juhu. The properties sold by celebrities become the talk of the town in the industry and are regarded as a double barometer of pricing trends and the mood of the luxury housing sector.
The analysts in the industry point out that although macroeconomic factors have cooled down price incrementation in some areas, the craving for high-quality and well-located homes is still there, mainly from those buyers who seek long-term gains as well as lifestyle improvements.
