NBCC (India) Limited has received multiple domestic work orders worth approximately Rs. 144.98 crore, excluding GST, from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).
The orders cover a mix of project management consultancy (PMC), construction, repair and renovation works across locations in Meghalaya, Jharkhand and Odisha. The projects include residential quarters, township development, industrial sheds, office interiors and an officers’ dormitory. The company said the orders were received in the ordinary course of business.
NBCC gets orders from SAIL, NEEPCO, ED and DVC
NEEPCO has awarded NBCC a Rs. 11.21-crore work order for PMC services related to township development at Umsawli in Shillong. The project adds to NBCC’s work in township and associated infrastructure.
SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant has been awarded several contracts covering residential quarters, building repairs and industrial sheds. The Enforcement Directorate has placed a Rs. 5.86-crore order for interior renovation and furnishing works at its Bhubaneswar office.
DVC has awarded a Rs. 15.99-crore contract for the construction of an officers’ dormitory building at Mayabazar, DTPS, Durgapur.
Together, these orders span different types of built assets, from employee housing and institutional accommodation to industrial and office facilities.
SAIL orders make up Rs. 111.92 crore
SAIL accounts for the largest share of the new orders, with four work orders worth a combined Rs. 111.92 crore.
One contract worth Rs. 9.05 crore involves the upgradation, repair and maintenance of 500 residential quarters at the Bokaro Steel Plant. Another, valued at Rs. 55.91 crore, covers external repair and painting of 654 building blocks.
SAIL has also awarded two separate contracts of Rs. 23.48 crore each for the construction of sheds equipped with 25-ton electric overhead travelling (EOT) cranes.
The mix of contracts shows that the new work is not limited to new construction. A significant portion involves the upkeep and improvement of existing residential and industrial assets.

Projects include residential quarters, township and office works
The new contracts have a direct connection with residential and institutional infrastructure.
The NEEPCO order involves township development, while the SAIL contract covers repairs and maintenance of residential quarters. The DVC project will add an officers’ dormitory, and the ED contract involves the renovation and furnishing of an office facility.
The SAIL orders for industrial sheds add another category of built infrastructure to the project mix.
For NBCC, these projects involve different stages of the construction and development process, including project management, new construction and refurbishment. The spread across residential, institutional and industrial facilities also reflects the range of work undertaken by the state-owned construction and project management company.
New contracts add to NBCC’s government project pipeline
The Rs. 144.98-crore order inflow comes as NBCC continues to receive contracts from government departments and public-sector enterprises. NBCC has previously also taken on project management and completion-related assignments in the housing sector, including its role in the completion of stalled Supertech housing projects.
The company’s recent disclosures also show a series of work-order wins during 2026, including contracts announced in July and August. Its latest contracts add projects in eastern and northeastern India, covering both construction and PMC services.
For the real estate and construction sector, the latest orders are relevant because they involve the development and improvement of residential, township and institutional assets alongside industrial infrastructure.
The new work will be executed across multiple locations and asset categories, giving NBCC a mix of construction and redevelopment-related assignments. The company’s latest order wins therefore add to its ongoing project pipeline across government and public-sector clients.
